The Rogues kick ass

I always read Piper as not as smart as he thinks he is and kind of self involved. Which makes sense, you don’t dress up like he did and rob banks unless you’re under the impression you are hot shit no one can touch. He improved over the years, obviously. Which just makes me want flashbacks to when he was young and a total tool. You know he was, he probably bought lots of expensive boots and competed with Lisa to see who could be prettiest and no one else noticed. Not even Lisa.

Poor Hartley :(  Well, he had a better hairdo than Lisa back in the Bronze Age, so there’s that…then the ’80s hit and she was leagues better.

Fun with timelines of the day: How old is he now anyway, 40? That would put the height of his supervillain career right around the time the Spice Girls were huge. Now try to work that into his look.

Attempting to pinpoint a character’s age leads only to madness and frustration.  But yes, it was stated Heat Wave was 40 during Johns’ first run, so the classic Rogues are in that age range.  Gods only know how old Johns and Kolins consider Cold to be, given the ancient way he’s drawn.
Here’s how long the Rogues have been around: when they debuted, they were probably supposed to have been born in the WWII period.

  6. piper-chick said: We started calling him James Tableaux. It started out due to someone else calling him coffee table James (due to his apparent lack of personality) and a friend came up with the name Tableaux (which is ironic because it means a vivid description. lol
